Future Planning

Future planning is a sub-committee of the College Board, assembled together to research, assess and plan future strategies with regards to College facilities and resources.

Projects that the committee has completed recently include:

  • Upgrade of the staff facilities (November 2011 & April 2012)
  • Renovation of Administration facilities (Completion February 2012)
  • New Science Laboratories including disabled access. (Completion May 2012)
  • Short term visitor Carpark off West St (Completion June 2012)
  • Renovation of student toilet facilities (Completion January 2013)
  • Development of 'The Hub' - student learning support environment (Completion January 2013)
  • Integration of Home Economics and Hospitality facilities into the College (Completion April 2014)
  • Transition of Year 7’s to Secondary in 2015 – classroom renovation (Completion April 2014)
  • Extension and upgrade of the Manual Arts areas (Completion March 2015)
  • Provision of better outdoor spaces for students so that more undercover accommodation is provided (Completed 2015)
  • Allocation of students to distinct GLA and specialist zones (Completed 2015)
  • Purchase of additional property in Hill St for College Grounds Extension (Completed 2015)
  • Renovation of the Primary Building

From our recent parent and teacher surveys, some other projects are under consideration, including:

  • Construction of new multipurpose auditorium to be built in stages
  • Relocation of the College library to provide space to accommodate increased student numbers
  • Closure of Hill St to provide safe access to the property located on the southern side of Hill St
