Application For Enrolment

Application for Enrolment

It is recommended that parents and guardians contact the College at between 18 months to 24 months prior to their planned year of enrolment for their son/s.  The College, in recent years has in some year levels, particularly the entry year levels of Year 5 and Year 8 experienced waiting lists, with some students missing out on an enrolment in their preferred Year level.  To avoid possible disappointment it is advisable to make contact with the College as soon as possible.

Early in the College year (approx mid February) the College will write to all families who have expressed an interest for their son/s to attend St Mary’s College.  This letter will give the parents/guardians details of what is required for the Enrolment Process to proceed to the Interview stage.  If you have not already received a Prospectus from the College, one will be enclosed along with the Application Form.

The Application form needs to be completed, signed and returned to the College with the appropriate documentation required by the College to enable an interview for you and your son/s to be scheduled. (The documentation required is listed on the back of the Application form). An Application fee of $30 is required to accompany the Application Form.

Once the College receives the completed Application for Enrolment form an interview will be arranged with the College Principal or an Assistant Principal to discuss the Application for enrolment.  Following the interview, and if all parties are agreeable the Principal will make an ‘Offer of Place’ for the student.  The parents/guardians will be given some time to accept this offer.  The acceptance by the parents/guardians of the ‘Offer of Place’ will need to be sent to the College on the form provided, accompanied by a $200 Enrolment Bond.  This Enrolment Bond is deductible from your son/s Term One Account.

Our Open Day is scheduled for the last Sunday in May and commences at 10.00am and concludes at 1.00pm.

At the Open Day, there will be a Principal’s Address, followed by a tour of the College conducted by Year 11 students.  There will be entertainment by the College Bands and a Family BBQ hosted by the St Mary’s College P & F Association.

If you require further detail regarding the Enrolment process please contact the College on 4631 7333.
