School/College Recommendation Admission Scheme (SRAS)
The School/College Recommendation Admission Scheme is an Alternative Entry Scheme to UNE.
· Under this scheme, your application is assessed on the basis of recommendations provided by your school.
· It applies only to final year high school students attending participating schools who wish to study on compus at UNE. If you wish to study by distance education, you must apply directly to the Student Centre.
· It is also open to full-time students preparing to sit for the full NSW Higher School Certificate Examination in TAFE colleges in NSW and the ACT and full-time TAFE Tertiary Preparation Certificate students in participating TAFE colleges.
· You must also be eligible to receive a UAI or OP.
· Unsuccessful SRAS applicants are still considered through the regular UAC or QTAC procedures.
· To apply for an undergraduate degree you need to lodge your SRAS application with your Principal or Careers Adviser.
· At the same time don’t forget to lodge your application with UAC or QTAC.
· Applications close 28 September and students are advised of the outcome of SRAS applications in late November.
· Ask your Careers Adviser for information and an application form.
Why SRAS?
UNE established SRAS for students who have demonstrated prolonged effort and enthusiasm throughout their secondary studies, in recognition that such commitment may not always be reflected in UAI scores.
