The St Mary’s College Outdoor Education program begins in Year 5 and continues each year until students reach Year 10. Each year the course builds and extends on the previous year’s experience. For each experience the students are taken into a new learning environment with different experiences.

Year 6/7 6 nights away Canberra Trip (every second year)
Year 8 1 night away Emu Gully
Year 9 2 nights away Leslie Dam
Year 10 2 nights away Moogorah Dam
Camps are not focussed on teaching survival skills but in equipping the boys with knowledge and skills that will ensure that they will never need to use survival techniques. Opportunities to chat around a camp fire with a group of friends and enjoy some quiet time and space will be encouraged.
