The Outdoor Education Program at St Mary’s aims to help a boy build resilience, stamina, leadership skills and self-belief and a wider understanding of their community. There are a number of camps available to boys across the year levels. They range from overnight camps in the younger years to 4-day survival camps in Year 11. Each camp is designed to focus on a different element of a boy’s formation. As St Mary’s believes a boy’s formation should be holistic, each camp has a focus on spirituality also. More information about camps can be found on the Retreats page on the website.
The PE curriculum also supports the Outdoor Education Program with theory on personal wellbeing and healthy lifestyles when combined with the Outdoor Education program they complete. More information can be found on the Sport page of the website.
