Parent Engagement

Parent Engagement

At St Mary’s College, we believe that a strong partnership between parents and the school is essential for the success of our students.

We value your input and involvement in your child's education and strive to create an open and welcoming environment where you can stay informed and connected with your son's progress.

As a parent, you play a crucial role in your child's academic and personal development. We encourage you to attend parent-teacher interviews and school events to stay engaged with the College community.

Throughout the year, we hold several Parent Engagement Evenings on a variety of topics. We often engage third party providers to present informative content at these events, this includes:

  • Raising Teenage Boys by Powerhouse Programs
  • Consent and the law by Adair Donaldson from Donaldson Law
  • Online Safety by Collective Shout
  • Drugs and Alcohol by Paul Dillon

We value your involvement in your child's education and look forward to working together to create a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.

P&F Association

The St Mary’s College P&F Association plays an important role in working collaboratively with parents, students and staff in supporting and enhancing student experience of College life.

Parents make up this association and assist the school where possible with key social and fundraising opportunities which aid the acquisition of resources and equipment for the boys. These events also bring parents together to enhance the sense of belonging and community.

The P&F Association administer the fund-raising levy collected by the College each term. This levy is used to provide resources to the school in a way which benefits as many boys as possible. For example, the P&F Association have helped to provide, new lockers, air-conditioning and solar panels.

P&F meetings are held on the second Monday of each month during the term at 6.00pm in the Brothers’ House Boardroom. All parents and caregivers of St Mary’s College students are welcome to attend. These meetings are a good way of providing feedback to the school about any matters.
